On Kelly's Pond...

This is the story of the rebuilding of the frog pond in the yard. When we originally dug this thing, we had no idea whatsoever what we were doing. So, we winged it! In a lot of ways, we got lucky, because the pond was a success in spite of our errors. However, after reading a bunch of pond books (AFTER WE BUILT IT, of course!), we sort of decided it needed a little "tweaking" to reach it's full potential, and to possibly attract a few water buffaloes, which are sort of scarce in this area. So, as the frogs settled in for their annual nap, I decided to dynamite the whole darn thing, and try to "fix" it up somewhat, with a little help from some free supplies from the neighbor's failed attempt at building a pond that would put "Kelly's Pond" to shame.
